Martin Johnson joined Sequel Advisors as a Director in 2026, bringing more than 25 years of experience in corporate strategy, corporate development, strategic partnerships, and M&A across PropTech, FinTech, and other technology-driven businesses.

Prior to joining Sequel, Martin led Anchor Advisory, where he advised founders, CEOs, boards, and investors on growth strategy, strategic partnerships, exit readiness, M&A, and other strategic decisions.

Previously, Martin served as Head of Corporate Development at CoStar Group, where he led M&A and helped shape the company’s growth strategy and long-term strategic priorities. His work spanned domestic and international transactions across real estate technology, data, marketplaces, and information services, including the acquisitions of Homes.com, Ten-X, and STR.

Earlier in his career, Martin held leadership roles at Visa spanning sales, strategic partnerships, and global strategy. He began his career at Deloitte, advising financial services institutions and other large organizations on corporate strategy, operational performance, and business transformation.

Martin earned a B.A. in Economics from the University of Maryland at College Park and an MBA from Duke University’s Fuqua School of Business.

Martin lives in Potomac, Maryland with his wife and family. Outside of work, he enjoys traveling, playing golf, and learning Korean.
